Meditation can be a powerful experience, when practised daily. The impact and effect of meditation is well known in both medical and spiritual fields as having a profound effect on the body.

There are many physical, mental and emotional benefits of meditation or self hypnosis. Whether you practise, Qigong, Tai Chi, Huna, Yoga, Buddhism, Taoist - however and whatever you do.... it's all works towards balancing your state of mind and there for quality of life.

Clearing the mind is just like re-booting a PC, with all the constant activity and programming that goes on, it helps to sometimes switch off the world and let your mind rest, that is to access a different state of mind.

 

How is meditation different to Hypnosis or Self Hypnosis?

Traditional meditation is all about entering the void or the Abiss. Buddhist monks and other religions practise this form daily in intensive prayer using mantra's, rythms and other forms of rituals to experience their higher consciousness.

Many people use the word 'meditation' or 'visualisations' or 'relaxation techniques' instead of Hypnosis or self hypnosis due to the negative impact or fear which is associated to this 8 letter word.

While self hypnosis and hypnosis is nothing to be fearful of because it is infact a natural phenonmen and we all go into a hypnotic state on a daily basis. Politicians, marketing, friends and family will use common hypnotic language - sometimes without consciously being aware of it!!

Hypnosis and Self Hypnosis is used more for a specific purpose eg. healing a specific ailment, increasing confidence and self esteem. A very powerful and effective technique for implementing real change. (it's well worth learning how to do it for yourself)

Both Forms (Medititation, Self Hypnosis and Hypnosis) simply change the frequency of your brain waves moving you from a "conscious state" also known as Beta into a more relaxed or consciously slower state of Alpha, Theta and Delta.
